Dance of the Blessed Spirits Arranged for Cello and Guitar
Gluck Dance of the Blessed Spirits

King of Prussia, PA – Theodore Presser Company announces the publication of David Leisner's arrangement of Christoph Willibald Gluck's Dance of the Blessed Spirits (from Orpheus and Eurydice) for guitar and cello (144-40666 - Set of Two Performance Scores - $8.99).

Together with the phenomenal cellist Zuill Bailey, Leisner has recorded his own guitar and cello arrangements of classic and original works on Arpeggione (Azica Records). In particular, his arrangement of the Gluck Dance of the Blessed Spirits highlights a singing cello melodic line over an accompaniment which lies beautifully on the fretboard. Leisner's arrangements should be welcome additions to programs by performing duos of this unusual combination. Amateurs of advanced intermediate skills and professionals will enjoy the dynamics and haunting melody of this 18th century classic.

The Gluck Dance of the Blessed Spirits joins three other titles from the recording already published by Theodore Presser Company: Saint-Saëns The Swan (144-40665 - Set of Two Performance Scores - $8.99), Schubert Arpeggione Sonata (144-40627 - Set of Parts - $19.99), and an original Leisner work, Twilight Streams (144-40603 - Set of Two Performance Scores - $40.99)

The Gluck Dance of the Blessed Spirits is available now through Theodore Presser Company or your favorite music retailer.
