New York, NY – Carl Fischer Music announces the release of the Celebrated Method for the Clarinet in both spiral and perfect bound editions (O304SB – Spiral-bound – $42.99; O304 - Perfect-bound - $32.99) by Hyacinth Klosé.
Hyacinth Klosé’s Celebrated Method for the Clarinet has long been the chosen method for generations of clarinet players. Edited by former New York Philharmonic Principal Clarinetist Stanley Drucker and his wife and colleague Naomi Drucker, Professor of Clarinet at Hofstra University, this new edition provides a modernized take on this invaluable learning tool. Careful attention has been paid to ease of use by updating the layout to allow for easier reading during practice and performance and providing the option of purchasing a spiral bound copy. Students will also benefit from the addition of Rose Etude excerpts, expansion of the Kroepsch Studies, and complete Grand Duets for study and performance.
The Celebrated Method for the Clarinet is available now through Carl Fischer Music, or your favorite music retailer.
Hyacinthe E. Klosé (1808-1880), remembered and celebrated today as the father of modern clarinet design and playing, was professor of clarinet at the Paris Conservatoire for thirty years. The evolution from the simple (or Albert) system to the Boehm system occurred gradually during this time, and Klosé ardently championed the application of the Boehm system to the clarinet.
Stanley and Naomi Drucker are each very accomplished clarinetists in their own right. Naomi Drucker previously served as principal clarinetist of the North Carolina Symphony and Stanley Drucker held the same title with the New York Philharmonic. Both have performed extensively as soloists around the world with many other ensembles and they have also toured internationally as a husband and wife duo, performing in Japan, Sweden, Paris, Singapore, and Australia.
