Nicholas Hopkins studied at the University of Rhode Island and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. After spending a few years at The Royal Conservatory in The Hague, the Netherlands, Hopkins began his professional career in music engraving in his doctoral program at Stanford University. His career would take him to Florence, Italy to serve as musical assistant to Luciano Berio and work for publishing firms Universal Edition and Ricordi. Hopkins now works as Managing Editor for Carl Fischer Music where he has produced hundreds of titles, including Glenn Gould’s Goldberg Variations, and garnered much critical acclaim for his attention to detail, historical accuracy, and scholarly analysis.
