New York, NY – Carl Fischer Music announces the release of Choral Error Detection (CMF7 � $34.99), a collection of short choral examples to be utilized for analysis and score preparation from Dr. Paul Hondorp.
These 45 short choral examples from the Carl Fischer Music, BriLee Music, and Theodore Presser Company repertoire represent many voicings, textures, time periods, and levels of difficulty. The accompanying compact disc contains a recording of each example with intentional mistakes included. The listener is challenged to identify, categorize, and fix these mistakes using a reproducible evaluation sheet, also included. The text is intended to develop audiation and improve score listening skills in students of choral conducting and choral method as well as active professionals.

Dr. Paul Hondorp is the Director of Choral Activities at Western Kentucky University, where he leads the choral program and teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition to having served as an adjudicator, clinician and guest conductor in the U.S. and abroad, Dr. Hondorp is also an accomplished lyric tenor, performing regularly with the Dallas-based professional chamber choir Vox Humana.
